Characteristics of EVA Shoe Soles
The characteristics of EVA soles are good softness, rubber-like elasticity, good plasticity below 0℃, good transparency and surface gloss, good chemical stability, strong aging resistance and ozone resistance, and non-toxicity. It has good compatibility with fillers, and good coloring and molding processing properties.
It is greatly related to the content and molecular weight of vinyl acetate, as well as the melt index. When the melt index (MI) is constant, increasing the vinyl acetate (VA) content also improves its elasticity, softness, compatibility, and transparency. When the VA content decreases, the performance approaches that of polyethylene, with increased rigidity, wear resistance, and electrical insulation.
When the VA content is constant, increasing the melt index lowers the softening point of the copolymer, improves processability and surface gloss, but strength will decrease. Otherwise, as the molecular weight decreases, impact performance and resistance to environmental stress cracking improve. The polarity of acetate increases elasticity and viscosity, while decreasing crystallinity and electrical properties, and it is soluble in hydrocarbon solvents and oils.
The key to a good pair of shoes lies in the sole.
When choosing shoes, the first thing everyone looks at is the appearance of the shoes. The overall look and color combination of a pair of shoes are what attract people's attention.
